The Yorkshire Puddin'

The Yorkshire Puddin’ opened its door for business on July 6th 2007 and less than two years on we have become a place where many people feel at home from home.  Nearly 2000 people walk through our doors each week either for the famous Sunday Carvery, Quiz Night, Steak Night, to attend one of the many functions or just to enjoy a drink in pleasant surroundings.

For two sad years, The Dusty Miller had stood empty. This once popular drinking hole had rapidly become a neglected eyesore whose only attention came from local vandals.  Local business man Paul Bennett took on the challenge to reinvent and transform the building into the newly renamed The Yorkshire Puddin' and now runs it along with his dedicated staff.

2008 was a hugely successful year for The Yorkshire Puddin’ winning an array of awards including:  Dewsbury Reporter’s Business in the Community, Inn Speak Pub of the Year and Food Pub of the Year 2008 and Best Bar None District Category winner.

In this same year Paul Bennett, who was named Entrepeneur of the Year 2008 at the Dewsbury Reporter's Business of the Year Awards also set up Kirklees Pubwatch with the aim of achieving a safer social drinking environment in all licensed premises throughout the Kirklees district.

Coming up to our second year anniversary, this Summer, The Yorkshire Puddin' continues to go from strength to strength providing a relaxed atmosphere for all who pass through our doors.

On the back of a successful 2008, 2009 is already looking set to be another fantastic year for The Yorkshire Puddin’
